Yaylar is a Kangal we imported from Turkey.  She is an amazing livestock guarding and absolutely loves her livestock.  You'll never see her far from them...she's always in the middle of wherever they are.
My daughter entered a picture of Yaylar into the state fine arts competition and won.
She really is a stunning Kangal.
Quietly watching something in the distance.
This isn't the best picture because it was taken when my iPhone but it is one of those pictures that had to be captured in the moment.
I had been watching Yaylar struggle to get up on top of that round bale of hay.  Up she'd go and then slide back down until she finally accomplished her goal:
Queen of the round bale of hay with the prized position on top where she could look over the land to insure that her charges remained safe.
It's obvious that Yaylar is secure and at peace with her 'family'.
