While you can't tell much in a still photograph, Micah has the most stunning movement I've ever seen. There's an elegance when he moves...it's as if you are literally watching poetry in motion and we are so honored to have him as a part of Shadow Wings Farm.
The first 3 1/2 years of Micah's life was spent on a gorgeous farm in the land of Nova Scotia. He guarded his family and his farm with a trait that is often found in the Kangal Dog...with his heart. He exemplifies the breed to a "T" and I have to say, I am so proud of his first family and all that they invested in him.
There came a time due to elderly family obligations that the heart wrenching decision had to be made to rehome a couple of their Kangals. We literally jumped at the opportunity to have the honor of giving Micah a new home on our farm.
These days, his Canadian upbringing still shows but a little 'southern drawl' is beginning to emerge lol. When the dogs all join in for an occasional 'howling song', he's right there in front, howling the loudest...that instinct that is found deep inside of him rising up until it breaks out in song.
I love just watching him. When I drive down the long driveway he'll come up to the fence to greet me and I always roll down the window to say hello. As he learns and settles into his new surroundings his tail wags quicker as he recognizes his new family. When he wants to come in and visit, he'll stand at the front glass doors, wagging his tail with a look on his face as if to say, "ummmmmmmm...excuse me!!!!! I haven't have my lovin' for the day!".
The loving environment in which he was raised shines through and we're thrilled to be able to stretch his heart a little further as he falls in love with us too.
